Formview itemupdating new values questions to ask in a dating relationship
We have a page with a formview which we want to populate from a datatable saved on another page, and we then want to be able to edit the data, save it back to a datatable and send it to another page.
When performing two way databinding, Null values and Nullables get changed to string. The way the Form View control handles null values has caused me some grief :-( Consider a Form View bound to an Object Data Source like so: On the other hand, if we try the same thing with the Details View control, the Last Name will still be “null” on update.
This Form View behavior can be problematic when we we need the original object and the modified object to perform an update with conflict detection (see LINQ to SQL example below).
Note that Conflict Detection is set to Compare All Values in the Object Data Source.
In brief, LINQ to SQL compares the original value and new value and generates SQL code to update the original object.
Find Control("Pass Out Year DDL") #2 - Dim Pass Out Date1 As Date Time = Date Time.
To String) End Sub I think this only works when you are bound to a datasource. '//Your Code #1 - Dim Pass Out Year DDL As Drop Down List = Form View1. Right now this event handler returns Null values to the Database. Protected Sub Form View1_Item Updating(By Val sender As Object, By Val e As System. All I want to do is to change certain values of a Date Time column during Form View updating event. Right now this event handler returns Null values to the Database. Protected Sub Form View1_Item Updating(By Val sender As Object, By Val e As System. Item Updated Dim Pass Out Year DDL As Drop Down List = Form View1. Empty Then command = New Sql Command("UPDATE [News] SET Event = @content, Category = @Category, Start Date = @Start Date, End Date = @End Date, headline = @headline, summary = @summary WHERE id = @id", connection) command.Tags: Adult Dating, affair dating, sex dating
